Off to the Channel Islands

I am flying to the Channel Islands this afternoon.

We have a start-up publishing business – Scott Bradbury. I am flying out to Jersey and Guernsey to try to sell the idea of clerical accuracy training to various financial institutions over there.

I am quite excited!

Britain bounces!

The most unusual item in the news this morning was the revelation that Britain bounces up and down as the tide comes in and out. Actually, this has been known since 1910 but it was news to me.

The weight of the water depresses the Continental Shelf. Plymouth goes up and down by 3 inches whereas London only moves through about an inch.
